Happy New Year & My 2013 Resolutions!

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast 2012 went by. I am really looking forward to this new year, and with a new year comes a new start. I try not to make New Year's resolutions because everytime I do, I end up failing after a few weeks. It doesn't hurt to try, right?

Here are my 2013 New Year's Resolutions:

  • Drink more water! I am so bad about drinking water, but I did find a way that makes it easier. A friend told me to squeeze a fresh lemon wedge into your water. It really does make it better!
  • Focus on my blog more. I always find myself taking long breaks away from my blog. I need to just keep on blogging!
  • Worry less! I'm a mom so this one will be a hard one!
  • Never take anything for granted and focus more on the blessings I do have rather than the things I do not have.
  • Try not to be so hard on myself and to enjoy the imperfections of life, including those in myself.

What are your New Year's resolutions for 2013?

December in Photos 2012

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday! The New Year is just a couple days away so I decided to end the year with a December in photos post. After looking through my photos from this month, I noticed I took more than usual. So I thought, why not share them?

Our Christmas tree and decorations! It was mostly my son and I who did all the decorating this year.

My vintage elf ornament and vintage elves a friend gave me.

Our newest addition to our family, Moxxi! Guess he wasn't into watching Christmas movies with me.

My Christmas manicure I gave myself using, Sephora by OPI Tinsel Town Collection (early present from my husband) in 'And a Cherry on Top' + 'Only Gold for Me'

My silly kitten, Moxxi hanging out in the kitchen sink!

My husbands dad went to Finland to visit family and brought us back some yummy chocolates! They were so good, they were gone in 2 days! An early present from my husband, Bath & BodyWorks candle in White Barn No. 2 Chestnut and Clove. Love it!

Christmas Eve at my parents house. My daughter got the tablet she has been wanting and my son got a Wii. They love it!

Slippers my mom got me and my daughter! How cute are my Kermit's? There is a story to my love for Kermit that dates back to when I was born, so when my mom seen Kermit she had to pick them up for me!

Just a couple of photos taken Christmas morning of my daughter with some of her gifts. Minecraft scarf and shirt, and of course Just Dance 4!

A couple of photos of my son with his gifts Christmas morning.

And finally... on the day after Christmas we were hit with a major winter storm. Which prompted a blizzard warning! Exciting!

As fun as this was to share photos I have taken this month, I might just have to start something new in 2013! I hope the new year brings you all happiness. Be safe and talk to you all next year!

Nars Blush in Sin

Hi everyone! Christmas is coming soon and because of that, my husband has been spoiling me. I recently picked up Nars blush in Sin to add to my Orgasm blush and my new mini Laguna bronzer collection.

I have always wanted to try more of the Nars blushes after purchasing and loving the Orgasm blush. I could never figure out which blush I wanted next until recently when I seen Sin. After looking at my blush collection I noticed that I didn't really have a berry colored blush.

Product Description - Source: Nars

The ultimate authority in blush, NARS offers the industry's most iconic shades for cheeks. Natural, healthy-looking color that immediately enlivens the complexion. A light application of even the highest-intensity hues delivers a natural-looking flush.

Sin - Berry tone with gold shimmer.

Price - $28 - found at Nars and Sephora

I have no complaints about this blush. Absolutely gorgeous! One tip is to be careful on how to apply it as it can look muddy or bruised. Make sure to use a light hand when applying the blush to your brush. All you need is just a little.

I think this blush is a great color for fall and winter!
